Elections Recap

hate elections.

After I vote, I don't really feel the sense of pride that most Americans feel, I more or less feel like I need to take a shower. Since TheYAM.net is proudly headquartered in Wisconsin, we are allowed to vote in this state. So here is what really irritates me, in order:

1) YAY WE RE-ELECTED JIM DOYLE AND YES I AM BEING SARCASTIC. Jim Doyle is about as inspiring as margarine. My biggest concern about the election was which candidate was most concerned about Milwaukee, both the city and county. Even though I don't live in the county I still feel a strong attachment to it. Well, during the debates, Mark Green said that he was very concerned about the crime, job loss, and other ills that have plagued Milwaukee recently. Jim "Captain Wow" Doyle's response was "how dare you insult the great City of Milwaukee!" And then infered that nothing was wrong. Jeez, does he get out of Madison much? Probably because he auctioned off all of the state cars.

2) The gay marriage thing: Who cares? If gay people want to get married let them, at least they can be happy. Was this not the most confusing question ever? I had to reread it so many times I committed it to memory:
Marriage. Shall section 13 of article XIII of the constitution be created to provide that only a marriage between one man and one woman shall be valid or recognized as a marriage in this state and that a legal status identical or substantially similar to that of marriage for unmarried individuals shall not be valid or recognized in this state?”
possible answers: YES? NO? WHAT?

3) Jim "Captain Amazing" Doyle and the capital punishment referendum: Okay, so the whole state votes overwhelmingly for getting rid of our worst criminals. And what does Doyle do? He says he will stick to his guns and not sign any bill that allows for capital punishment. Yep, the voice of the people has been heard, and Duh-yle says no I am smarter than all of you! You all don't know what you are talking about! Bah!

Good thing we only have these election things once every two years. I hope everyone else takes it as seriously as I do.
